Indonesia’s Entry Requirements
You will need a tourist visa to enter Indonesia, which will be issued free of charge on arrival (Visa On Arrival VOA) at Manado Airport to citizens of most nationalities.
If you are staying in Indonesia for longer than 30 days you will have to purchase a VOA for US$ 35, by doing this you can extend the 30 days visa-on-arrival for another 30 days at the nearest immigration office for IDR 350.000 (approximately USD 25 depending on the exchange rate) which must be paid in local currency.
Alternatively, you can also apply for 60 day tourist visas in advance of your arrival in Indonesia. Check with your local Indonesian Embassy.
All other nationals should apply for visas in their home country before departure for Indonesia. There will be no leniency for nationals of countries not listed above should they arrive without valid visas – they will be sent home immediately.
For further up-to-date information about travel matters, please visit Indonesia’s Department of Foreign Affairs website at www.imigrasi.go.id to find the embassy or consulate nearest to you.
