PADI Advanced Courses in North Sulawesi

Are you planning to take your next PADI advanced level certification? Trying to decide where to dive and which PADI advanced course to take? One of the highlights of diving in North Sulawesi is that the diverse range of dive sites make it an awesome place for taking PADI dive courses of all levels.

PADI course at Murex

From beginner to advanced PADI courses, at Murex we offer them all

As a PADI 5 Star Dive Resort in Manado we have professional PADI Instructors and years of experience teaching in the waters around Manado and Bunaken Marine Park. As a certified diver you might want to take your next level up OR you might want to focus on improving or learning a specific skill. Whatever you want to achieve, there is a PADI course to help.

PADI Advanced Open Water

If you are already a PADI Open Water Diver you might want to look at the next certification level, the PADI Advanced Open Water which consists of 5 different PADI Adventure Dives and certifies you to dive to 30 meters. As a PADI Advanced Open Water Diver in Bunaken you’ll be able to explore deeper sections of the stunning walls and with a better grip of your buoyancy you’ll find muck diving in Manado Bay much easier. You’ll make a deep dive and a navigation dive as part of your PADI Advanced Course in Manado and you can choose the other three dives yourself from; Peak Performance Buoyancy, Fish Identification, Underwater Naturalist, WreckDiver, Night Diver, Drift Diver, Boat Diver, Search and Recovery Diver and even Underwater Photographer.

PADI Rescue Diver in Manado

The next step for PADI Advanced Open Water Divers is the PADI Rescue DiverCourse. For many divers this is the most challenging and rewarding program they’ll ever take. You’ll complete a one day CPR and First Aid Course (EFR) during the program and you’ll learn about self rescue techniques and dive accident prevention and management including rescues from the shore or boat as well as in-water emergencies.

PADI Rescue Diver Course in Pool

The pool at Murex Manado is perfect for all kinds of training incl. Rescue courses

This course will change the way you dive and make you much more aware of others – this is a mandatory program if you are hoping to become a PADI Divemaster or PADI Master Scuba Diver.

PADI Specialty Courses in Manado and Bunaken

Are you more interested in focusing on the aspects of diving which are important to you than progressing up the PADI ladder? Most PADI Specialty Courses can be taken by any level of diver and are designed to give you an in depth understanding of a specific aspect or type of diving. Here are some PADI Specialty courses which are ideal to take in Manado Bay or Bunaken Marine Park:

PADI Deep Diver in Bunaken

Bunaken’s famous walls offer stunning corals at all depths but if you are hopingto get Deep Diver certified this is the place to do it! Even at depths of up to 40 meters you’ll be blown away by the prolific coral growth, reef life and you might even see passing pelagics.

PADI Peak Performance Buoyancy in Manado Bay

Muck diving in Manado Bay is becoming increasingly well known and you’ll find many of the same species that are found in the nearby (and world-famous) Lembeh Strait. Muck diving involves hunting for rare and unusual marine life on fine, black sand sites where buoyancy is key to avoid silting up the area. Work with one of our PADI Instructors to learn how to hover like a pro, reduce the amount of weight you need to carry and improve your air consumption for longer dives.

PADI PPB Course Manado

Proper buoyancy makes you a better diver.

PADI Night Diving in Manado Bay

Some of the area’s weirdest critters don’t come out until after the sun has set. Learn how to plan and execute night dives safely, signal using torchlight, navigate at night and look out for stargazers, starry night octopus, hunting moray eels and Spanish dancers. Night dives in Manado Bay are a definite  highlight.

Spanish Dancer - Hexabranchus sanguineus

Manado Bay is the perfect spot to see Spanish Dancers during your night dives

PADI Enriched Air Nitrox Diver in Bunaken Marine Park

The PADI Enriched Air Nitrox Specialty is PADI’s most popular Specialty Courses. If you want to increase the amount of time you are allowed to stay at depth then this is the way to do it. Using a gas mix with a higher percentage of oxygen means you are breathing less carbon dioxide and therefore able to stay deeper for longer. Learn about the science behind Nitrox diving, how to analyze your breathing mix and program your dive computer for your blend while making two stunning Nitrox dives in the Bunaken Marine Park.
